Here is the list of films: Thaan Serntha Kootam: Starring Suriya and Keerthy Suresh as the lead pair, the film is directed by Vignesh Shivan. Suriya has made it clear that it is a wholesome family entertainer, which is sure to pull the crowds to the theatres. Gulebagavali: Directed by Kalyaan, the film stars Prabhu Deva and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles. Revathi and Anandraj will be playing the supporting roles in this action comedy. Nimir: It is a comedy drama which is the remake of the Malayalam hit movie Maheshinte Prathikaram. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film stars Udhayanidhi Stalin as the hero and Namitha Pramod and Parvati Nair as heroines. Sketch: Directed by Vijay Chander, the film has Vikram and Tammannah Bhatia playing the lead pair with Soori as the comedian. It is an action thriller. Kalakalappu 2: A sequel to the hit movie Kalakalappu, this comedy drama is directed by Sundar C. It has Jiiva, Shiva and Jai playing the main leads with Nikki Galrani, Catherine Tresa and Nandita Swetha as the heroines. Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren: Directed by Arumugha Kumar, this adventure comedy drama stars Vijay Sethupathi and Gautham Karthik in the lead roles with Niharika Konidela and Gayathrie Shankar playing the female leads. The star cast also includes Ramesh Thilak and Viji Chandrasekhar. Mannar Vagera: Directed by Bhoopathy Pandian, this film has Vimal and Anandhi playing the lead roles. Touted to be an action comedy, it also stars Chandini Tamilarasan, Prabhu, Saranya Ponvannan, Karthik Kumar and Nassar in pivotal roles. Madura Veeran: Starring Vijayakanth’s son Shanmugha Pandian, the film has Meenakshi playing his female lead. An action drama, Madura Veeran has been directed by PG Muthiah.

Jyothika's ‘Magalir Mattum’ to finally release on August 11

Having made a smashing comeback with 36 Vayadhinile couple of years ago, Jyothika currently awaits the release of another women-centric film, Magalir Mattum, which also stars Bhanupriya, Urvashi and Saranya Ponvannan. After struggling to find a suitable date for release, the film might finally hit the screens on August 11, thanks to the postponement of Ajith's Vivegam to August 24. While the makers are yet to make an official announcement, industry insiders have said the makers are seriously considering the date.

Sivakarthikeyan’s film on 2nd July

Remo directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan had showcased Sivakarthikeyan in a lady nurse get-up who woos his lady love. The film featured Keerthy Suresh as the heroine along with Sathish, Saranya and others in the supporting cast. Remo had released on the 7th October 2016 which had Anirudh’s music and PC Sreeram’s cinematography.

Suriya's 2D Entertainment's next upcoming film, Magalir Mattum starring Jyothika has undergone censor certification. The film directed by Bramma of Kuttram Kadithal fame with music by Ghibran has received a clean 'U' certificate from the Cbfc.

Dhanush just made a massive announcement!

Dhanush, who is fresh from the release of his debut directorial, just made a big announcement about the release date of his much-anticipated Velaiyilla Pattathari 2. Apart from Dhanush, Amala Paul, Samuthirakani, Saranya Ponvanan, this 2nd part also has Bollywood actress Kajol playing a pivotal role in it.

Dhanush just made it official that this flick will hit the screens on the 28th of July. It must be noted that VIP actor's birthday also falls on the very same day. The teaser is expected to release by the end of May month.

The audio launch of Magalir Mattum happened this morning (24th April), which was attended by many celebrities including Suriya, Karthi, Sivakumar and family, director Pandiraj, Saranya Ponvannan, Oorvasi, Sudha Kongara, S.R.Prabhu, Lyricist Vivek and others.

 

Jyothika started her speech by thanking all the men in the Sivakumar family, for their extensive support. Karthi does it for his anni Jyothika

Director Bramma’s second directorial Magalir Mattum is having its audio launch right now. The film featuring Jyothika, Oorvasi, Saranya Ponvannan, Bhanupriya, Nasser, Livingstone and others is scored by Ghibran and 2D entertainment funds this film.

The track list of Magalir Mattum is also out and interestingly, we find actor Karthi’s name credited as the singer for one of the songs, Gubu Gubu Gubu. Earlier on, the actor has sung a song Mississippi in Biriyani. Karthi has a very mischievous voice and looks like Ghibran must have chosen him for a particular feel in the song.

A new milestone for Sivakarthikeyan's Remo!

R.D.Raja's 24Am Studios' first production, Remo had released on the 7th of October with a grand opening. The film directed by newcomer Bakkiyaraj Kannan starred Sivakarthikeyan, Keerthi Suresh, Sathish, Saranya Ponvannan, 'Naan Kadavul' Rajendran and many others. Sivakarthikeyan following in the footsteps of Rajinikanth; Remo set to release in Mumbai, Delhi and Punjab

The makers of Remo have announced that the movie is being released with English subtitles in Mumbai, Delhi and Punjab in approx 70 screens on October 7th, 2016. It seems that the ‘Thalaiva’ has opened market for south films in the North.
