Todd Newton is one of the most successful young game show hosts of the late 1990s. He got his start in show business in his hometown of St. Louis, where he hosted a radio show. He moved into the game show field in late 1999, hosting Game Show Network's _"Hollywood Showdown (1999)_, a popular culture quizzer. His latest project is _"Whammy! The All-New Press Your Luck" (2002)_, a remake of the classic CBS game show "Press Your Luck" (1983) that begain daily airings on GSN in 2001; Newton beat out original "PYL" host Peter Tomarken for the hosting job. Newton also serves as co-host to _"Hot Ticket"_(2001), and keeps busy in other capacities on the E! and GSN cable networks.

Newton's credits include Whammy!, Gameshow Marathon, In Search of the Partridge Family, Made in the USA, Hollywood Showdown, Reality Remix and Performing As. Todd Newton works closely with various organizations to promote the awareness and prevention of global warming. A St. Louis native, Todd Newton now lives in Los Angeles with his wife and their children.
