As president of BBR Productions based in Montreal, Canada, she produced and co-produced films with France and the U.K. including "Sweet Killing", starring Oscar-winner F. Murray Abraham and "Coup de Chance" with Roland Girault. Girard's filmography also includes the prize-winning Canadian-French-Venezuelan co-production "Passage des Hommes Libres (Out in the Open)", starring Roy Dupuis and Christian Vadim. The film was screened in August, 1997 as part of the Latin American Today Festival at Lincoln Center in New York City, and subsequently won the Patron Award at the San Diego Festival. It also later took part in the Franco-Hispanic Festival in Miami. Since March, 1997, Suzanne Girard has been both an Executive Producer and Producer for Productions La Fête Inc. Girard partnered up with producer Kevin Tierney to produce the Showtime-Hallmark distributed film "Whiskers", as well as "Armistead Maupin's More Tales of the City". In 1998-99, Girard produced the two-part miniseries entitled "P.T. Barnum" starring Beau Bridges, Cynthia Dale and George Hamilton. This co-production with Vancouver's Pacific Motion Pictures was also made in conjunction with Hallmark Entertainment for the A&E Network. More recently, Suzanne Girard wrapped up another miniseries, this time with Alliance-Atlantis for the TNT Network. The four-hour series entitled "Nuremberg" stars Alec Baldwin, Jill Hennessy, Christopher Plummer among other reputable actors. Girard assumed the role of executive producer on this large show of great historic importance. Presently, Girard is developing several new projects.
