Iron Man Ignites the McU: Journey to Infinity War Part 1

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been around for just shy of 10 years at this point and Infinity War is set to serve as the epic culmination of an entire decade of interconnected filmmaking. This is something that nobody could have fathomed before the McU took shape and, as we approach the release of Infinity War, we're having a look back at the movies that got us to where we are today. And we're starting where it all began, with the relatively modest but truly perfect Iron Man.

This is not necessarily to say that Iron Man is a flawless movie. Few big-budget blockbusters, if any, are. But Iron Man serves as the perfect beginning to the McU and is easily the best origin story ever put to screen for a comic book character. These are not new revelations being made, but rewatching the movie today, it's amazing how incredible it

‘Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams’ Review: Amazon’s Star-Studded Anthology Series Needs to Dream Bigger

‘Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams’ Review: Amazon’s Star-Studded Anthology Series Needs to Dream Bigger
Anthology series and the science-fiction genre should go hand-in-hand, but “Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams” doesn’t make the most of its sky-high potential. Despite featuring a fitting number of stars for the space-exploring stories on hand, the 10 standalone episodes inspired by Philip K. Dick’s writings do little to evoke the prolific sci-fi author’s next-level dreams.

The best of the six entries screened in advance is, oddly enough, labeled the first episode on the screener site but falls to Episode 9 via Amazon. That’s a shame, since viewers would have to make it through the worst of the lot — Episode 7, “The Father Thing” — let alone eight more middling hourlong entries before they reach it. “The Commuter” stars Timothy Spall as an employee at a train station who discovers a hidden city between the stops.

Could Avengers: Infinity War Signal The Return Of Liv Tyler As Betty Ross?

Not for the first time, Liv Tyler has been tipped for a role in Avengers: Infinity War.

As any Marvel fan will tell you, the actress originally played the part of Betty Ross, gamma scientist and Bruce Banner’s ex-girlfriend, in The Incredible Hulk, which became the second instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Iron Man.

That means Louis Leterrier’s oft-forgotten spinoff is still considered canon among Marvel creators, so the return of Betty Ross isn’t exactly off the table. And that’s exactly what The Scottish Daily (via ComicBook.com) predicts in its breakdown of Infinity War‘s colossal production. Mind you, just because Liv Tyler’s name is mentioned doesn’t necessarily mean that her McU character is a shoo-in for the forthcoming blockbuster, so until we hear something official from Marvel, take this one with a pinch of salt.

Yes, Infinity War is said

10 Things About Clueless You Never Knew

10 Things About Clueless You Never Knew
"Ugh, As If!" After The Crush and before Batgirl, there was Clueless, the catchphrase packed 1995 high school rom-com that somehow made us all love Alicia Silverstone even more than before, with a supporting cast of future stars including Stacey Dash, Donald Faison, Breckin Meyer, the late Brittany Murphy, and of course, Paul Rudd. Here, we look at 10 things you never knew about Clueless.

Clueless began as a TV series.

No, we're not talking about the spinoff TV series, which ran from 1996 till 1999, with most of the cast reprising their roles, minus, of course, Alicia Silverstone. Amy Heckerling, who directed National Lampoon's European Vacation, Johnny Dangerously, Fast Times at Ridgemont High and a few episodes of its short-lived TV spinoff, initially pitched Clueless as a teen soap series in the vein of Beverly Hills, 90210. The show would have been called No Worries. Heckerling figured Jeff Spicoli was so popular because he was always so positive,

The Batman Won't Be a Reboot, Even with a New Actor
In the wake of Justice League, Ben Affleck's future as Batman in the Dceu continues to be called into question. The actor has suggested in recent interviews that he may be done with the role and recently, it was reported that The Batman director Matt Reeves may be eyeing Jake Gyllenhaal to take over in the upcoming solo movie. Now, we have some new details on the movie, which make the possibility of Affleck not returning all the more interesting.

When the news of Jake Gyllenhaal's possible involvement in The Batman broke, it was reported that Matt Reeves' proposed Batman trilogy would take place either before the events of Batman v. The mega-agency deviated from standard protocol to address the current situation, issuing a...

CAA Sued After Actress Accuses Agent of Sexual Assault, Harassment

  • The Wrap
An actress is suing CAA and an agent she says sexually assaulted and harassed her, accusing the company of refusing to meet with her when she attempted to report the agent’s behavior. In a lawsuit filed in L.A. County Superior Court on Thursday, actress Demi Mann accused agent Cameron Mitchell of a long-term campaign of sexual harassment, of forcing her to perform sex acts and, in one instance, of drugging her.
