Actresses Hollywood Should Be Taking Notice Ofby lynskeyium | created - 31 Jan 2015 | updated - 01 Feb 2015 | Public
This list highlights ten UK actresses that Hollywood should be taking serious notice of.
Actress | My Summer of Love
Since she gave a dazzling performance in 'My Summer Of Love', Natalie has spent the past 11 years building up a resume that is deserving of a shot at Hollywood stardom.
Quite a few of the Waterloo Road pupils have had careers that have paved the way for them to be noticed in the film world as potential stars, but not Lauren. I'd love to see her take the lead in a British full-length feature film.
Actress | Skins
'Skins' has been an undeniable launching pad for future British-born Hollywood A-List stars, headed up by Nicholas Hoult, Kaya Scodelario, Dev Patel, Jack O'Connell & Kathryn Prescott. However, this has yet to happen for Lily. I'm hoping that she'll one day be in the running for a Hollywood role.
4. Aimee Kelly
Actress | Sket
The inclusion of 'Wolfblood' on the Disney channel's roster of shows doesn't seem to have raised Aimee's profile as a potential leading lady of TV and film. I'm hoping that the tide will turn in her favour.
5. Lydia Wilson
Actress | Star Trek: Beyond
Lydia was spotlighted as a hot new talent in British film & TV, but very little in the way of receiving bigger roles seems to have happened. I would like to think that a part might be around the corner that could elevate her chances of securing such a role.
Actress | Hanna
Named as a scene-stealer in 'Tamara Drewe', hopes that this would make her status as a future leading lady haven't really been met. She continues to get roles that put her in the character actress category. I wish that casting executives would see her as a young woman capable of carrying a starring role.
Actress | Neverlake
Daisy Keeping was born on August 1st, 1985, in Cardiff, Wales. She studied Acting at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and graduated in 2008, and has stayed in London ever since then. She is an actress, known for Neverlake (2013), Holby City (1999) and Footprints (2012). She is engaged to be...
Quirkily dramatic and able to hold the audience's attention, Daisy has the qualities to make the leap from lesser roles to ones that could reward her with a significant breakthrough.
Actress | Call the Midwife
Louisa Sarah Anne Connolly-Burnham is a British actress born June 23rd 1992 in Solihull, England. She is the daughter of Anthony Burnham and Tracey Connolly, has two younger brothers Tyler and William, and was raised in Buckinghamshire, England.
She graduated from Tring Park School for the ...
Louisa is one of the reasons 'Wolfblood' was successful. That alone is a good reason why she should be thought of as an actress that can become the lead in a film in the near future.
Actress | Misfits
With Erin Richards paving the way for Welsh actresses to make their mark in Hollywood, it would be great if Gwyneth Keyworth could be the next actress to put Wales on Tinseltown's map. She was named as one of Screen International's Stars to Watch, but that honour seems to be slow in seeing her get lead roles.
Actress | The Fall
Another actress on that list is Aisling Franciosi. Already something of a rising star on British TV, most famously as Katie Benedetto in 'The Fall', I think she has the definite potential to become a scene-stealer who could be up for future lead role offers in movies.
